Analysis of genomic
sequences issues the challenge to search for the regions with the low text
complexity, which could be functionally important. Several
numerical measures of text complexity including combinatorial and linguistic
ones, together with complexity estimation by modified Lempel-Ziv algorithm, are
implemented in a software tool presented here. The software developed enables to
search for low complexity regions in long sequences. In addition, it estimates
complexity of groups of aligned sequences.
