This example shows program application for one sequence, human MGMT (O6-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase) gene, sequence includes upstream 1019 nt, first exan and partial first intron (sequence corresponds to chr10:131154437-131156436, assembly Mar.2006 (hg18) of human genome) . According to experimental mapping of nucleosome positioning (Patel SA, Graunke DM, Pieper RO. Aberrant silencing of the CpG island-containing human O6-methylguanine DNA methyltransferase gene is associated with the loss of nucleosome-like positioning. Mol Cell Biol. 1997, 17(10):5813-22) nucleosomes are positioned at nt 600 to 800, 1000 to 1200, 1200 to 1400 and 1400 to 1600; additional nucleosomes may be present between nt 400 to 600 and nt 1600 to 1800. Strong DNase I-hypersensitive sites were noted near nt 800, 850, 950, 1020, also a weaker site was noted near nt 600. Strong MNase hypersensitive sites were located approximately at nt 800, 950, 1020, 1220, 1400, and 1580, with a weaker site at nt 600.
