rSNP_Report Help

rSNP_Report database presents the protocols of the rSNP_Tools applet predictions, which are confirmed experimentally and represented as hypertexts.

How to use rSNP_Tools?

Example of a rSNP_Report entry.

Columns I and II, the known 41 transcription factor binding sites taken into account. Database MATRIX contains the weight frequency matrices and Recognition Tools for these TF-sites. See MATRIX Help.

Columns III-VI, the TF-sites recognition Score values, which refer to the wild-type sequence and to the mutated sequence. These sequences are documented in the rSNP_DB database. See rSNP_DB Help. See How to use rSNP_Tools Step 1.

Lines I-IV (in the left bottom of the entry), X-sites, which simulate the SNP-caused alterations in the pattern of DNA interaction with nuclear proteins. See How to use rSNP_Tools Step 2.

Columns VII-X, Euclidean distances between the recognition Scores of the known sites and X-simulated ones.

Columns XI-XIV, Student's t-scaled similarity between the known sites and X-simulated ones.

Column XV, prediction {X» SITE}. See Example of rSNP_Report entry.

Lines I-IV (in the right bottom of the entry), control test of the prediction {X» SITE} for robustness, by using the standard STATISTICA package.
