Redox-sensitive Genes (ROS-TRRD database)

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) including superoxide radical (O2-), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), and hydroxyl radical (-OH) are formed in various metabolic processes. ROS are involved in intracellular signal transduction and expression regulation of the genes determining the anti-inflammatory response, cell growth, proliferation and differentiation, apoptosis, and stress response. The expression of redox-sensitive genes is regulated by redox (reduction-oxidation) status of a cell.
